Palm Springs Desert Engagement Session

Such a perfect day to shoot Cassie and Austin’s engagement session. You can usually bet on Southern California sun especially in the desert, but surprisingly we were met with overcast skies. Granted, you might not get those sun flares and golden hour — but the flexibility of shoot time increases since you don’t have to find shade to stay away from harsh, bright midday light or chase the sun as it goes down. It’s a sigh of relief and much more relaxed when you can do it that way (from a photographer’s stand point anyway).

We started at the Moorten Botanical Garden where we had to pay a $5 entry fee per person and there’s also an additional $25 photo fee, head’s up for anyone wanting to shoot there! It’s totally worth it though! Such a cool little spot and you can even take home a cacti or two.

Congrats to this cute couple, can’t wait for their July wedding!
